Happy New Year!

I wish all our readers all the very best for 2019.

Even though the centenary is over I hope you will keep visiting this website during the coming year. I have lots of fascinating material which people have sent me and kindly allowed me to share here – it’s just a question of me getting around to it. If you’re one of those people – thank you and I’ll try to do better in 2019. Sounds like a New Year’s resolution is called for! But there is lots to look forward to.

Until then, here’s another postcard from my collection, simply chosen because it has a wintry scene. I’m guessing it dates from winter 1915/16. Happy New Year!

Robin hands over the role in October 2021 to Andy Hutt. Andy's interest in the campaign comes from his grandfather, Arthur, who served as a Royal Engineer from 1916-1918.
