SCS Members’ Area

We’re pleased to say that the new Members’ Area is now live! It can be reached here. Please read on for details of how to access the site, what is offers, how it is provided, and its Privacy Policy. Many thanks to those members of the Society who have tested the site and fedback thoughts.

How to Access the SCS Members’ Area

All existing members have been sent an email invitation to access the site. New members will receive an invitation shortly after joining the Society. If you haven’t received, or have lost, the invitation, please let us know here and a new invitation will be sent.

The SCS Members’ Area is provided by Voice. Voice is an independent service providing free websites for hundreds of charity, not-for-profit, and voluntary groups in the UK.

To gain access to the SCSC Members’ Area, you therefore have to register with Voice. The process for registering is much the same as for many other sites, as shown in the video below.

This video shows the process of registering with Voice.

NB: Your personal login details are not visible to anyone at the Society. So, for example, if you forget your password, you will have to reset your Voice password.

  • The privacy policy of Voice can be viewed here.
  • If you forget your password, you can reset it here.

Once you have registered with Voice, you will have access to the Members’ Area! The presentation of menu choices will be different on a computer screen and on a phone.

About the SCS Members’ Area

The SCS Members’ Area is separate from the Society’s main website (this website) and provides:

  • a place to store the digital artefacts donated to/purchased by the Society
  • a means for members to view these
  • and a place for members to share knowledge/ask questions.

In creating this site we have tried to ensure that the site is:

  • Secure (for members and the Society)
  • Free (to members) and free or very low cost for the Society
  • Easy to use
  • Restricted to members only
  • Sustainable and with sufficient storage capacity.

The SCS Members’ Area is in its infancy – we are grateful for any feedback that you can provide.
