Sid & Elsie : love across the miles and down the years 7

Happy New Year! This is the final postcard from Sid to Elsie, simply dated ‘Salonica 1918’. My thanks, once again, go to Wendy Nicholson for sharing these touching cards with the SCS.

Loving Greetings
Far over the miles that divide us
This simple card brings to you, dear,
A greeting from someone who loves you
And who wishes that you could be near
But though you’re away just at present,
Fond memories always remain
And loving thoughts always are with you,
Looking forward to see you again.

To My Dear Wife from
Your True and Devoted
Husband
Sid xxxxx
