This series of fifteen minute programmes on BBC Radio Four is not to be missed.
Dan Snow brings together the sound archive collections of the Imperial War Museums and the BBC for the first time to tell the story of the First World War through the voices of those who were there. Although the series is well underway, all previous episodes are available to listen to online or to download as podcasts:

In this programme Dan Snow brings together recollections by soldiers of the conditions they endured in Salonika, where they considered themselves a forgotten army, and the main threats were malaria and dysentery.
Let’s hope this isn’t the last mention of the BSF in the series!
