More from Great War Huts

Last year I shared with you some super videos from the YouTube channel, Great War Huts, presented by SCS member Taff Gillingham. I hope many of you subscribed but even if you did maybe, like me, you haven’t kept up with their offerings.

A recent visit to YouTube revealed some great new videos which, taken with the others, provide a perfect introduction to the dress and personal equipment of the British soldier of the First World War. Of course, there are plenty of books on the subject (heaven knows, I have enough of them!), but these videos allow you to see the real things being handled, worn and explained by someone who really knows their stuff.

So if you haven’t checked in with Great War Huts recently, or if these videos are completely new to you – what are you you waiting for!

Nothing specifically on Salonika, but all very relevant to the BSF; however, if you want something to give you your ‘fix’ of ‘Muckydonia’ you could watch this, which is also on the channel:
