The SCS Plot at the Royal British Legion’s Field of Remembrance

On Thursday 8 November, SCS Chairman Alan Wakefield, Jonathan Saunders and Keith and Ruth Jackson attended the opening of the 2018 Field of Remembrance by HRH Prince Harry.

The SCS had it’s plot located in its usual position facing St Margaret’s Church. Thanks to those members who supported the plot by planting crosses of remembrance and making donations to the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.

He then became the Society's web editor, a role he seems unable to shake off. His interest in the campaign comes from his grandfather, Fred, who served as a cyclist with the BSF from 1915 to 1917, mainly in the Struma valley. Opinions expressed in these posts are his and do not necessarily reflect the views of the Society.
