Salonika watercolours for sale

I keep a regular eye on items for sale on eBay with a Salonika connection. It’s usually just postcards and bits of Zeppelin but, every now and again, something unusual and exciting pops up. And that’s the case now, with a small collection of watercolours from 1918 connected with 38th General Hospital, showing views near Salonika:

The paintings are on sale on a ‘Buy It Now’ basis, rather than the more usual auction from Somerset & Wood Fine Art.

Does anyone know who D.G.P. is? Are there more of his paintings out there?

Author: SCS Web Editor

Robin Braysher joined the SCS in 2003 and soon after became editor of the Society’s journal, ‘The New Mosquito’, a role he held until 2008. He then became the Society’s web editor, a role he seems unable to shake off. His interest in the campaign comes from his grandfather, Fred, who served as a cyclist with the BSF from 1915-1917, mainly in the Struma valley.
